"POPS", "YOUNG'UNS" SHARE WIN

The team of Michael "POP" LaFORGE and Micah"YOUNG'UN" Westbrook  won the Sooner Centennial GTA Rally held on Saturday, April 28th.  Meanwhile, the team of Ken "POP" Frakes and Lee "YOUNG'UN" Frakes won the Sooner Centennial GTA Rally held on Saturday, April 28th.

How is this possible?  This GTA was an "AVERAGE JOE" style event, which means the team closest to the average elapsed time is the winner.  With only two contestants, the result could only be a tie unless one team did not complete the course.  Both teams were successful in this endeavor, preserving the shared victory.

The Sooner Centennial GTA route was nearly identical to the Sooner Centennial Touring route. This route along with the Five Tribes Touring route were given a thumbs up by from all of the out-of-state entrants.Dave Jameson called the CASTs perfect and he was glad that he and John Sears came to run the events.
