Road Rally Explained

Want to try the rally concept, but aren't ready to build an all-out ProRally-like car? Try RoadRally. RoadRallys are run in your daily driver at the posted speed limits on public highways. The task is to navigate a predetermined course in a given time, following a set of instructions. It's not about speed. It's about accuracy - a chess match on wheels.

Road Rally Rules for 2007

2 tiered class structure similar to MiDiv Series rules for all rallies:
• Experienced Class A - those with significant experience and wins
• Rallyist Class B - those that have less experience.

Award NEOKLA Series points based on overall finishing position regardless of class.

Within the Rallyist Class, there will be a Tyro (or Novice) Class for those that are
beginners or have not won a rally.

Use 3 tiered class breakout of points standings when stating Series results. For example
all competitors entered as Tyro would be ranked according to their accumulated points,
same for non-Tyro Rallyist and Experienced class rankings.

Use only actual NEOKLA events as home events in Series points scheme,
eliminate the counting of London to Paris and Witches Ryde
as in 2006 as home events.
